Biography
Richard immigrated to Canada in 2006 and resides in Qualicum Beach, B.C.. He graduated from the University of Washington in 1961 with a BA in Art Education. During 32 years of teaching experience, he taught at West Valley High School, Spokane Falls College and Eastern Washington University. He received a MA from Eastern Washington in 1968.
He owned and operated Artisan Bronze art casting foundry in Spokane Wash. 1983-1996. He has a bronze sculpture in the permanent collection at the art museum in the state capital in Olympia Washington. The art gallery in Nishinomiya Japan (Spokane’s sister city) also has a bronze sculpture in their permanent collection. His work has been shown at TOSH in Qualicum Beach, Art in the Garden in Nanoose Bay and the Filberg Art Festival in Comox, B.C.. His work has also been shown at Northwest Wood Gallery, Gordon Woodside and the Henry Gallery in Seattle,Washington.
