Diane Spence Biography
Diane Spence was born in Noranda Quebec. She moved to Vancouver Island after retiring from nursing in 1999.
Diane is a self taught artist. Workshops and fellow artists are always a help to her while she explores and expresses her personal art. Nicholas Wilton and Robert Burridge are two of the many instructors whose workshops she has attended.
Her Portfolio is mainly non-objective and reflects varied interests in developing many ideas. She use acrylics, inks, encaustics and plaster to create her pieces. This gives her a freedom to explore her concepts.
Diane is an active juried member of the Federation of Canadian artists, the FCA Arrowsmith Chapter. She belongs to DeCosmos fine art and is a member of the Old School House Arts Centre (TOSH) in Qualicum Beach.
